Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Account information — your email address, or Google/Apple sign-in identifier, via our authentication provider (Clerk). You can also use the app anonymously with limited features.
• Pitch photos — up to 4 photos you take of a cricket pitch before a match. These are sent securely to our AI provider (Anthropic) for analysis and are not shared publicly or with other users.
• Location data — with your permission, your GPS location is used to auto-detect your cricket ground and fetch local weather conditions. Location is optional.
• Squad and match data — player counts and roles you enter, match format, toss results, and match scores you choose to log. This data is private to your account.
• Feedback — star ratings and messages you submit via the in-app Feedback screen. This is sent privately to us as the developer and is never shown to other users.
• Usage analytics — if you consent on first launch, we collect anonymous usage events (e.g. report generated, toss logged) via Mixpanel to help us improve the app. You can opt out at any time in Settings; analytics are off by default until you consent.
• Purchase information — if you subscribe to Cricket Tosser Pro, purchase and subscription status is managed by Google Play Billing and RevenueCat. We do not see or store your payment card details.

How we use this information

We use your data to generate pitch and toss reports, personalise recommendations to your squad, remember your match history, manage your subscription, and improve the app. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

No social or user-generated content features

Cricket Tosser has no chat, messaging, comments, public profiles, or any feature that lets one user see another user's content. Your reports, photos, squad details, match history, and feedback are private to your account. Because there is no user-to-user visibility, there is no user content or user profile to block or report, and no chat to moderate.

Third-party services we use

• Anthropic (Claude) — analyses your pitch photos to generate reports.
• Supabase — securely stores your account data and reports (row-level security ensures only you can access your own data).
• Clerk — handles sign-in (Google, Apple, email/password).
• RevenueCat & Google Play Billing — manage subscriptions and payments.
• Open-Meteo — provides weather data based on your location (no account required).
• Google Places — resolves cricket ground names from your location or search.
• Mixpanel — anonymous, consent-gated usage analytics.

Each of these providers processes only the data necessary for their function and is bound by their own privacy and security practices.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us (see below), and we will delete it within a reasonable timeframe except where retention is required by law.

Children's privacy

Cricket Tosser is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us at privacy@crickettosser.com to make a request.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date on this page.
